Anti Ragging committee

The Anti-Ragging and Disciplinary Committee (ARDC) of IES College of Engineering (IESCE) functions as a cornerstone of the institution’s commitment for providing a safe, professional, and ragging free learning environment. Principal serves as the chairperson of the committee. This committee Strictly adhering to the mandates of the UGC, AICTE, and the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Each student has to sign an online anti-ragging affidavit (mandatory for students) on the website provided by the Govt. of India. Its primary objective is to safeguard the well-being of newcomers (freshers) while ensuring that the "IES Code of Conduct" is upheld by all students across the various engineering departments.

 

Roles and responsibilities

To follow and act, according to the anti-ragging act and law. 

To make frequent rounds in the college campus and the surroundings.

To keep a close watch on the visitors /strangers in the college campus.

To conduct awareness programmes among the students, and counsel them if necessary.

To advise the students, to communicate to their parents and faculty, if any sort of ragging occurs.

If any type of ragging occurs, a meeting is to be conducted immediately to recommend appropriate action to be taken, as per the Act of Prohibition of Ragging in Educational Institutions (26 of 1997), to the concerned authorities. 

To ensure compliance with the provision of UGC regulation 2009, at the institutional level.

To monitor and oversee the performance of Anti-Ragging Squads to prevent ragging in the institution. 

To arrange anti- ragging awareness programme. 

To ensure that all the students submitted the online anti- ragging undertaking. 

To counsel students, regarding proper dress code and Identity card. 

Specific efforts to minimize the nuisance of cell phones. 

Undertaking from the parents of the students, who indulged in any disciplinary activities.  Creating a peaceful and ragging free atmosphere in the college campus/surroundings is the ultimate purpose of this committee.
