The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of IES College of Engineering, Chittilappilly is constituted in accordance with the provisions of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Regulations, 2016 on Gender Sensitization, Prevention and Prohibition of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students, and Redressal of Grievances in Technical Educational Institutions.
The ICC functions as a statutory body committed to the prevention, prohibition, and redressal of complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace and within the academic environment. The committee ensures a safe, secure, inclusive, and dignified working and learning atmosphere for women employees and students, in compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and regulatory authorities.
Objectives of the ICC The objectives of the Internal Complaints Committee are to:
1. Prevent sexual harassment at the workplace through proactive measures and awareness.
2. Provide a fair, confidential, and time-bound mechanism for redressal of complaints.
3. Ensure compliance with the POSH Act, 2013 and AICTE Regulations, 2016.
4. Promote gender sensitization and awareness among employees and students.
5. Safeguard the dignity, safety, and rights of women employees and students.
6. Recommend appropriate disciplinary action based on inquiry findings.
7. Foster a culture of mutual respect, equality, and professional ethics within the institution.
